Police pledge tighter security in Jigawa

Speaking in Dutse on Wednesday, August 27, the Commissioner of Police said the command has mapped out fresh strategies to tackle banditry, theft, and other security threats across local communities. He noted that more patrols, intelligence gathering, and collaboration with local vigilantes will form part of the measures.

The police boss urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security operatives, stressing that protecting lives and property remains the command’s top priority.

He further appealed to the public to promptly share information that could help prevent attacks or track down suspects.
