In a statement issued on Tuesday, the association’s president, Bode Iranloye, acknowledged the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, local government chairmen from Ifelodun, Irepodun, Isin, and Ekiti councils, as well as security agencies for their interventions so far.

However, the group warned that the situation demands more coordinated and community-driven strategies, stressing that insecurity has become a recurring menace eroding peace, disrupting farming and trade, and weakening communal bonds.

Iranloye noted that the problem cannot be resolved by security forces alone, urging traditional rulers, youth groups, and local communities to work hand-in-hand with security experts to strengthen vigilance and restore confidence.

He called for long-term solutions, including investment in intelligence gathering, community policing, and youth empowerment to address the root causes of crime.
