In 1992, a young Dera Nnadi began his journey with the Nigeria Customs Service as a Cadet Officer.

Today, over 30 years later, he stands tall as one of the newly appointed Deputy Comptroller-Generals, representing the South East region. His recent promotion, approved by the Nigeria Customs Service Board on September 2, 2025, is a landmark achievement for a man whose name has become synonymous with integrity, innovation, and performance.

His leadership at Tin Can Island Port, including generating over ₦1 trillion in 10 months, this cemented his reputation as a game-changer in customs operations. With this new role, Dera Nnadi’s journey comes full circle, proving that dedication and vision never go unnoticed.
